Check out the column from the archives in the Spring 2009 issue of the MSU Alumni Magazine. In each issue of the magazine onestaff member from the MSU Archives writes a short column about a historical event, building, or person from MSU history. The column features photographs from the archives to support the article. Previous topics have included the history of class rush, 4-H and MSU, and the College of Music.
In this current issue the article is about canoe baseball, written by archivist Portia Vescio. Canoe baseball was played in the spring when the Red Cedar River flooded the baseball field.
